Hi everybody! I have one question for you. Do you think that the pedal tones are very important for the development of the high register? First of all, JAMES STAMP book? Is there some other way (easier than J.Stamp) to get the high register?
I currently exercise this ''system'' but I'm interested if there is something else which might be better than this? What you think?

Big salute!!!

I just bought a used trumpet a week ago. I already play guitar quite well and I want to start playing a brass instrument. So I have been practicing about an hour or 2 a day and I have progressed quickly. So last night I went to jam with a keyboard player and I brought my trumpet along for kicks. On the pdf with all the note fingerings that is on this website it says that to play a C note, the position is open. I found that in-fact I was playing a Bb. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?

I have a problem in the issue of sound, after a while that I practice that happens to me I feel the vibrating upper lip but the note does not come out or go out like a small raspberry. May depend on what, there are specific exercises to prevent this from happening? Thanks to those who respond, Colonel
